| Petition Text: | The Public Service Executive Union asks the committee to consider whether the complete blanket ban on the involvement of all Civil Servants above Clerical Officer in any form of political activity, irrespective of the work that they do, has any place in a modern democracy. Further, the committee is asked to evaluate the fairness of the draconian restrictions placed upon Civil Servants regarding public comment on matters unrelated to their work or their function as Civil Servants. |
