Petition Text:
The Petitioner suffered a crush injury to his thumb in May 1999 as part of his treatment he received a "Nerve-Block". He got a injection in his neck
from a Doctor at Waterford Regional Hospital on 4 Feb 2000. This caused a massive headache. He was given a pain tablet to swallow but this
caused further distress and nearly choked to Death. The Petitioner went into shock and suffered full paralysis. It took 6 weeks in another Hospital
to recover from paralysis. Later that year in September his headache still persisted and had to spend a further 6 weeks in Cork University Hospital
Petitioner cannot see how treatment cuased him to go from one tablet to thousands over the year, total paralysis and constant pain all caused
by a nerve-block it cannot be medical misadventure.
