| Petition Text: | I allege that the appointment of two Senior Planning Inspectors working for An Bord Pleanála to the Board as Board Members on 1st January 2002 by a Government Minister through the panel system was illegal under the Planning and Development Act 2000.
I allege the Inspectors illegally represented the farming sector on the Board for 10 years in breach of both the spirit and the letter of the law. Many aspects relating to these appointments are unique.
I allege that the appointments could not have been made without the collusion of a number of individuals in different statutory and private bodies to conspire to manipulate the appointments system over a period of time to allow the appointments to be made in the way they were.
I allege that these included the Chairman of An Bord Pleanála, Senior officials of the Department of the Environment, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, The Impact Trade Union, a Government Minister and the two Senior Inspectors involved.
As an Irish citizen I consider any attempt to manipulate the appointments system to An Bord Pleanála -a quasi-judicial body – for any purpose as being a subversion of democracy of fundamental import.
I believe that the facts surrounding these appointments as presented in documents already submitted (petition reference number P00012/14) substantiate the above allegations.
I believe that nothing less than an inquiry under oath will finally arrive at the truth. |
