| Petition Text: | My sister was told at her 14 week scan her baby was very healthy and she would get no more scans, at her routine check up at 23 weeks she demanded a scan as she felt something was wrong, she was told her baby wouldn't survive outside the, at 27 weeks I had to watch my sister go threw ten hours of labour and then on the 11th of march 2015 baby luke was born sleeping, to be told at 14 weeks pregnant her baby was very healthy and then for that to happen no words can describe the pain to walk out of the hospital with a memory box instead of a car seat is heart breaking, a babys organs don't properly firm till 18 weeks so why is it that in most hospitals you only get one scan and it's between 12 and 15 weeks, more scans need to be given to woman during pregnancy to make sure the baby is developing the way it should be, to many mistakes are happening and it's unforgiveable! Babys in the womb are the most vulnerable and we need to stand up for them. |
