| Téacs na hAchainí: | There is a global human refugee crisis happening right now. Due to the effects of political, environmental and human catastrophes worldwide the largest displacement of peoples since records began is now occurring. The Irish government, much to the dismay of its people, has decided to assist a mere 600 people this year from Syria and Eritrea, the worst affected areas. This is unacceptable and I ask the joint sub committed on public petitions to raise this issue with parliament as a matter of urgency.
We the Irish people have the capacity and desire to do more, please allow us the choice. |
