| Téacs na hAchainí: | Here In Ireland by law the maximum working week is 48 hours per week. This we feel is not sustainable for a lot of people , those especially with young families and people who have to care for loved ones. We strongly believe that if it was lowered to 40 hours per week that it would boost productivity and relationships in the workplace and would amount to fewer days of holiday and sick leave being taken by those who are far too stressed out about their jobs. Working is supposed to enhance your personal life, not take away from it.
This petition is not in any shape or form insulting people who already work over the maximum hours per week willingly, but merely giving those who can't an option to refuse extra work without having negative implications on their employment. . |
